BLACK CRUCIFIXION back on stage after 18 years, co-headlining tour with
THORNIUM and
HERETIC.
The three bands are teaming up with
FUCK cHRIST BOOKINGS and
SOULSELLER RECORDS for a ten-day central European tour through The Netherlands, Belgium and Germany. The tour shapes up to embody the return of three unique, influential and remembered bands, as all three bands have had a long inactive period during the end of the nineties and start of current decade. Each of them were founded in the nineties, but they are back now, more motivated then ever before!
BLACK CRUCIFIXION made fame in the early nineties with their 1991 demo
"The fallen one of flames". Founding member Forn was supported by Holocausto Vengeance, Sodomatic Slaughter and Wennström, all three also in BEHERIT, who had just released their "Seventh blasphemy" demotape around that same time.
After
“The fallen one of flames”, BLACK CRUCIFIXION started to call their music dark metal; the 1993 album
"Promethean gift" shows a clear progression and established the bands' unique sound. BLACK CRUCIFIXION then started to work on a full-length album entitled
“Faustian Dream”, but it was not finalised as the band grew tired of the scene around them. The name BLACK CRUCIFIXION was buried in dust.In 2007, the band finally finished
"Faustian dream", after working over ten years on the album. And now, two years after the release, BLACK CRUCIFIXION is going on their very first Central-European tour. Forn says:
"I talked to the guys yesterday and everybody is determined to make this tour something to remember. The fact that we are now going to perform – after more then 18 years of wait – says it all. We are serious and want to make entertaining things happen. Every five of us are using a week and half of our well earned vacations to do this [...]. We are not doing making music professionally, but everybody has a more than professional attitude and level of ambition when it comes to music and performing it."THORNIUM was founded by Thyph in 1993 and he recorded their first and only demo that same year. This demo resulted in a deal for a full length with small Dutch label Necromantic Gallery Productions, who also worked with bands like DIMMU BORGIR and ULVER. It was at this time Ulverheim joined THORNIUM on lead guitar, and in november and december 1994 the duo entered the studio once more to record the debut album
“Dominions of fhe eclipse”. The album contains eight songs of dark, grim and chilling black metal. Even though the budget was very small, THORNIUM managed to produce a cold and raw album capturing the very essence of black metal!
Though THORNIUM never really split up, there have been nothing but silence since the debut was released. With Thyph being in prison for many years, things naturally got complicated. However, in june 2008 THORNIUM signed a three album deal with the Dutch label Soulseller Records and now, fifteen years after the debut, the long-awaited second album
"Mushroom clouds and dusk" was released in the beginning of 2009! Hell is unleashed! Hail Satan!!
HERETIC was created in 1996 to spread the gospel of SATAN, playing filthy Satanic black metal, influenced by old Barathrum and Beherit, and shared members with Bestial Summoning. Heretic released several cult demo's which laid the path towards their debut album
"Black metal holocaust" in 1999. The album sold out after only two months and became one of the most wanted collectors items in the scene to date. After a four year break the band finally released their long awaited second album
"Devilworshipper", after which the band died a silent death...
In 2007 rumours of a resurrection circulated and eventually became reality when "Black metal holocaust" was finally re-released in 2008 followed by a sold-out presentation show in Germany, being their first live performance in eight years as well as their first time ever outside Dutch borders. The band made a strong comeback by perfecting their own unique style of sleazy black 'n roll, most notable when they re-recorded eight of their best tracks from their previous albums to be collected on the "Splitting skulls for Satan" release that same year. The new sound created a massive stir in the underground and now, six years after their last official full-lenght, people demanded a brandnew full-length release. With
"Gods over humans, slaves under Satan", their wishes were granted early 2009! The releases was traditionally followed by a grand sold-out presentation party in Germany. In all, the band played between 5 and 10 extremely succesfull comeback concerts in one year which brought them unmatched popularity in Germany!!
