Absu new album

Texas-based mythological occult metal band Absu have posted the song “Girra’s Temple” from their new self-titled album, due in stores February 24, on their official MySpace page. The song offers fans the first listen to material on the anxiously awaited new album that features an all-star array of guest musicians.

great album but different from the last one i've heard (third storm of cythraul)
structures are less original, but great riffs and compositions, huge production
too bad there is only one voice

Just listened to the Myspace sample. I see the line-up has changed, Shaftiel and Equitant are gone. The music has nothing special (I don't like the 'stop and go' technique). The production sounds far too clean, contemporary and professional. I'd rather stick to In the Eyes of Ioldanach.

The Cover Artwork is fukkking gay! Like a poster one can buy in a 1 Euro shop.
Szatan is right, the music is well played, they are all masters on their instruments, but far away from something special.

The cover art looks great but the music itself does little for me.

I already know the best releases from Absu: The Sun of Tiphareth, In the Eyes of ioldanach, The Third Storm of Cythraul. I don't need listening to this one, since the production doesn't fit me.
However, I like the cover.

Always liked Magus more. I'm not too much into this band. The cover is very nice though in my opinion

Great album, obviously diferent from their previous stuff but still a great album!! I really like it!
The best song is "Amy".

I'm waiting for the picture disc vynil version, it will be done by Kneel before the masters throne records. So expect nothing but pure quiality.

I don't understand why, it's the same disc with just a picture on it...

As a longtime Absu fan, I'd say that this release is by far not their best. At all. Ever.
