Since here at the Drakkar board are aristocrats, we can turn the usual driking thread into something interesting. No proletarian or commercial shit allowed. We stand only quality alcohol here.

Then, here what made my evening with some Doom-Metal and later Death-Industrial :

Wines, beers and other spirits Bouteilleblonde

An amber organic beer made here in the Southern Alps with local spring water and local-grown hop, a tasteful one for sure. Their best is the Bombasse one, a 10.5° brown beer that's one of the best that ever came to my mouth.

One recent good choice was a 2007 Saperavi Georgian red wine made from organic grapes. Not the best wine I've drank yet with a very pleasant taste. The best point is that this wine won't ever make you sick at all. And it looks that 2007 was a decent year for wine-making in Georgia when it was an awful year here in France. Perfect with a Mediterranean meal.

English beers are some of the most underrated here. People drink export Guiness but don't care about good English beers. I've tasted some gems in London and even a few imported ones aren't that bad, for example the Hobgoblin. I'm sure it's far from being the best beer UK can offer yet it fits my taste well.

Tonight with my family :

Wines, beers and other spirits 101703l

from 2005.

An excellent bottle that I got mid-priced !

Best beer is free beer hehehehe.

Now talking seriously, for me, the best beers from this country (Chile) are this:
-Kunnstman. A brewery founded by German Immigrants in the southern part of the country, very good beer!
-Colonos del Llanquihue, another good beer from the southern Chile, this brewery was also founded by germans.
-Cerveza del Puerto, very good beer from the city/port of Valparaiso.
-Cerveza Austral: This comes from the southernmost city in the World, Punta Arenas, very good beer, too.
-In the cheap side, we have Baltica, a very cheap beer (1 lt. for just 1 euro aprox) WARNING! When you drink this shit, The hangover next day it's a fucking nightmare.

From other countries I like brands like Gulden Draak, La Trappe, La fin du monde...

Is Baltica the Russian one ? It mustn't be because most varieties aren't that hard on alcohol. You make me want to taste these for sure!

A nice discovery from Poland

Wines, beers and other spirits Dsc_0507

Wines, beers and other spirits Vyevo3o0zd

Good beer from a regional brewery.

Another nice one was this stout (sic):

Wines, beers and other spirits Imgp4609

which has a subtler taste than the Guinness one can find here everywhere.
