| I just got around to buying this album and the first thing that struck me was how close it sounded to Celestia's Apparitia album. What I mean by this is that the overall guitar tone, production etc sounded extremely similar. Noktu, I'm especially curious as to what you think about this. Am I fucking crazy or is it indeed similar? | |

| The samples sound like an emo-pop version of early Ulver. | |

| Gaylcest is fag pop music now, the concept of this band is totally empty. Musically, I hope there is nothing between Celestia and this shitty wanabee cocksucker project.
I never listened their album, but maybe, he did a kind of imitation of Celestia. I really have no idea and I could care less.

| Well I guess I'm fucking crazy then haha. But in any event, I don't like this nearly as good as the demo or of course Celestia. No black metal at all in the album. Shame really cause I thought the demo was really promising. | |

| The Alcest demo will remain their best release, this is for sure.
This band sucks badly now.

| Le Secret is also very good. But at least, this last album shows the result of a love relationship on artistic inspiration. Just compare the musical and lyrical evolution of Famine and Neige's respective bands, PESTE NOIRE and ALCEST: the contrast between both is stunning. | |

| Le secret is bad, too "cheesy" for a black metal album. May be This was the concept but it sucks in this case. With this one the band has lost its BM side and it's a good point for this kind of inspiration. It reminds me a mix between Sigur Ros and Agalloch. It sounds very good. | |

This band sucks badly now. If a band changes its style, to a style of your disapproval, does it automatically make them "suck badly?"

Of course. Simple logic will dictate it.

| that's just what a pretentious/overrated album like this deserves the demo was average black metal - Le Secret was quite good, though obviously Ulver influenced - but this is just silly |

This band sucks badly now. If a band changes its style, to a style of your disapproval, does it automatically make them "suck badly?" The problem, again, is that some bands did things in this genre better, and now people into Black-Metal, obviously unaware that this kind of music has a past, praise BM bands doing bad gothic-rock, etc as being "original" bands. That was the same with ambient and industrial music ten years ago. Tons of people in the BM milieu had their ambient or industrial project, and most of these were utter crap or at best generic for the genre. Most people have obviously no memory. And no knowledge of history. Then they pretend to be intelligent. I call them pretentious idiots. That's the best they deserve.
