When it comes to Black-Metal, probably. But W.A.I.L. made a great album that has the potential to be a milestone. And BLOODY SIGN's last album kills all these retro-DM bands (even if I do admit that some of them are great).
When it comes to tapes or 7EPs, I'll tell FIRASAH's Si Pennangal and VESTAL CLARET's Lost Loved Ones , even if both releases contains older tracks. The first one is so catchy as only HM can be, and the second is total occult HM for those who love 70's horror/satanic movies.
Oh, and MEFITIC's part on their split with NECROVOMIT is a killer, as we can expect from them. The best Drakkar release from this year, even if I have nothing but praises for the last CELESTIA LP too.
Well, as usual, I didn't listen to lots of new releases this year, but maybe my opinion will change when I'll have the last PROFANATICA, WEAPON and NIGHTBRINGER albums here.
