stumbled across this one on a known doom podcast. So he even exploits LLN nowadays? Disgusting !!!

The interview he gave for the French magazine Metallian is even worst than that. He said, he wanted to be an Elf Sorcerer, this pretty much say enough I think.

In my eyes it is frightening that he is moreover successful in what he is doing. Have people so much changed in the last fifteen years? How come that it is trendy now to listen to gay music done by a wannabe elf sorcerer?

The thing is that there is not much very good bands doing fantastic music anymore like it was the case in the early 90's. So a band like Alcest can please uneducated listeners very easily. He also play a kind of music that can please all kind of listeners (emos, goths, rockers, sucidal depressive facebook teens, etc).
But all trends have an end, this is just a matter of time.

I don't see the future with much optimism. Newer musicians and music fans are too much fed with so-called classics to search for the band that has something personal to bring on, something personal outside the same mixes of various musical genres that is.

One bad thing today is that most musicians are fucking narcissic people. They're again a mirror of society. And educated people really don't care about their pitiful selves, that is.
