PostSubject: Russian Bands   Russian Bands EmptySun 29 May - 14:52

I am searching for original Russian BM bands.

I only know few, namely Old Wainds, HABb (Nav'), Branikald, Temnozor (even if this one is more a pagan metal band), Bloodrain.

Do you know other worthy ones ?

If you can find them, fullmoon rise's two demos are worth getting. Also check out Forest.

I don't know whether you label BLACK DEATH as original but it's a great band in my opinion.

I know only "Saturn sector" and another album I cant remember the name, and the "Grave of the light" ep; some parts are on the verge of the weird and uncanny to say the least !

Anyone knows what their album on Drakkar is like ?

Their album on drakkar is pretty good. Definitely worth getting if you're a fan of the band.

I forgot to name Blackdeath in my first post indeed.

I've found some interesting bands : Nitberg, Vargleide...

Stellar Winter productions are full of such worthy bands.

Blackdeath's album on Drakkar is their best album since the "apocalytic songs" demo. Very raw and agressive stuff, with their own touch. Forget the swedish shit overpraised here and there, and get this one instead!

Thanks, I've heard all these bands as they belong to the same "circle" (BlazeBirth Hall)

I've just heard some tracks of a band that I didn't know few times ago Syny Severa, a really good band...

Another bands "circle" is the Armour Get Dawn circle with bands such Nord 'N' Commander, Rodovest, Sieg, Khali-Juga, Ogneslav, Deplored... but I haven't listen to them yet.

Some Various Artist Cds, which are a great way to discover the Russian scene :

Wolfgeisten cd : members of the armour get dawn circle
Hammerkrieg cd : members of the blazebirth Hall circle

With these two, you'll have a correct preview of how russian bm sounds like...

There're not too much REALLY WORTHY Black Metal (not included ns-metal and pagan) bands in Russia..

BLACK WOOD, DAEMONOLATREIA, OLD WAINDS, ODOR MORTIS, DRAUGWATH / BLACK DRAUGWATH / BLACKDEATH, SHOGGOTH, ITHDABQUTH QLIPHOTH, NIDD, NORD'N'COMMANDER, DEATH TRIUMPHANT, BANEWORT, DIABOLICAL SWORD, MISANTHROPIC ART, BAAL ZEBUTH, cHRISTINVERTION, FAR EAST DIVISION circle (FORGOT, SPITEHOWLING, EVILWINGED), Satanic Death Metal FULL DECAY (with members of OLD WAINDS), Satanic Thrash BLACK WIDOW (pre-BLACK WOOD)... There're more, of course, PM or e-mail me if interested, I don't remember the names _now_ and don't think that members of those bands I mean will be pleased if write their bands' name on the forum, he-he..

Look at the russian BM labels' web-pages, you will find many interesting...

And those mentioned SIEG, OGNESLAV, RODOVEST are ns!! they have nothing to do with Black Metal (as well as TEMNOJAR, NA RASPUTJE and many other ns / pagan bands which are thought to be BM)..

There are a lot of Black Metal bands in Russia, but really exellent are OLD WAINDS, FOREST, TEMNOZOR' and VELIMOR. All other are only grinding shit (like BLAZEBIRTHALL BANDS) wich have not really true atmosphere.

What bands? May be DAEMONOLATREIA or Ithdabquth Qliphoth? Russian scene have not created something really new or interesting. Branikald, as I know, was first. I many russian bands I can not hear any riff, only zzzzzzzzzzzzjjjjjjjjjjjjrrrrrrrrrr...
If you interrested in Russian or Ukraine NSBM bands - visit StellarWinter site.

P.S.
I think, that best BM band is Acckaya Sotona

I know, than Sons of North is good band, but I can't findt their albums. I think, that it is more difficult, than get Vlad Tepes demo tapes.
Rossomahaar, Drama, Stigmatic Chorus... interesting and original bands but it is not true black.
Sacrifice of melodism for idea is not a way. I think that true black have to be with clean sound and exellent atmosphere such as Judas Iscariot, Immortal, Hell Militia...
P.S.
Forgive me for my bad English.
