I have sad news about Sir Northdark from Russia, who was hinding behind the D_Se pseudonym on this forum. Here is an official statement I got from friends of him :

"On the 05 December 2008, Black Metal musician Sir Northdark (Taniniver, Northdark, Cerber, ex-Beyond Ye Grave) was found dead in his home. He had cut his veins with scissors. His mother says that her son was deadly drunk when she saw him the day before.
Northdark was vary talented songwriter and guitar player and his music is really outstanding. He doesn't belong to this world and all his life is a strong proof of it. He died as he lived – overflowing with booze."

I got the new NORTHDARK album as an advance and I must admit it is a masterpiece. Hail Sir Northdark, rest in Hell.

So I guess this bury as well the reissue of some of his work you were mentionning few days ago...

Do you know if the album has any chance to be released though?

I have no idea... Noktu was interested but DRAKKAR seems to be overbooked!
A Russian label called COLD BREATH OF SILENCE Productions will release his other band TANINIVER, and maybe some NORTHDARK stuffs. The label is leaded by a friend of him that also plays in BEYOND YE GRAVE, in which Sir Northdark played for a while. I don't know when the stuffs are available but I'll distribute them for sure.

I've lots of respect for the acts from Russia.

Forest, in particular, is too great.

Honestly, though, I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to Russian bands, even though they put out some of the best stuff.
