Is e.g. Bal A Myth of Lucifugum (Ukr) now "cult"? Or Tatiana of Moloch (Ukr)? Why is it that I still dont hear anything about those bands no one gives a fuck about, which supposedly had members who comitted suicide? Dead's suicide was maybe the cherry top on all the other fucked up and oh so mysterious things around him and the norwegian black circle, but is not the reason alone for all this fuzz. At least that's what I think

It sounds much like 2000's Z'B'T countless shitty demos.
Metalheads don't hesitate to lie in order to earn money or a cult-status. The Skullface demo was recorded indeed in 1983. It's not Black Metal sounding like Vlad Tepes or Mayhem or Pagan Assault, but Black Metal influenced by Venom, Discharge and Motorhead (the Bathory album wasn't released back then). The guy was a teenager, he kept what he recorded in his closet, like many people. And you don't know countless bands who played Venom and Bathory covers with their high school band in 1984. There were black metal bands then, but they never keep up. And about this russian guy. Not impossible he recorded some black metal stuff when he was 10, still we all know what he recorded was some rip off music of BM bands, not something mature and personal. At least he was in this kind of music at 10. People generally start to listen to metal at 12 and play at 13, but other start at 16. So if a few years later, why not a few years before ? why you people are always jealous ? And don't make your brain work ?

I thought Bal-A-Myth died from a heroin overdose. Moloch looks like a shitty band, with 50 releases (I didn't count them, sorry) in 4 years. - Quote :

Attempting to get a cult-status through suicide does not necessarily work; it doesnt mean the intention wasn't there. - Quote :

He was a good singer, but not largely better than Isahn, Pest or Vikernes. - ordre&maïs wrote:

It's not BM at all. Only random distorted notes on a programmed rythm with screamed vocals over it. It's really bad and uninteresting. The innovation comes retrospectively from screamed vocals, but I seriously doubt this demo being recorded in 1983. - Quote :

Please explain me why he had kept it in his closet for 20 years, though he began to distribute his Z'B'T material - which sounds nearly the same - in the 2000's. Did he also put his guitar, his drum machine, his pedal effect and his mic in the same closet as his Skullface tape? Maybe he had no time to record material because he cared about his daughter, and kept the same equipment during 20 years without using it? - Quote :

Don't confuse everything. The only BM bands in the 80's were Bathory and Mayhem - you can possibly add Sarcofago, Hellhammer, Tormentor and Sepultura if you count black/thrash. Venom was pure speed/thrash. Bands who covered Venom and Bathory were playing thrash. Which band did sound like The Return... in the 1980's? None.

Which band did sound like The Return... in the 1980's? None. It really becomes too confusing when trying to pick out what was black metal and what wasn't in the 1980's. It was a transition period, in which most "black metal" bands were borderline between black metal and some other genre. I think it's time for a new transition, even if I don't take part in it or enjoy it.

| Hello all! Hails to Noktu!
I am from Russia, I deal in journalistics (www.apocalypszine.org.ua) and I know many bm bands, labels owners and bm musicians in real life So, what can I recommend for you?
Meti Bhuvah: it's karelian (Petrozavodsk, Russia) band, which plays very raw and primitive black metal in the way of Ildjarn. Fu#king awesome and nihilistic. Stielas Storhett - a bit progressive black metal from Murmansk, Russia Sect - Proud and interest black metal from also Murman. "It's band, not a project" from Stielas Storhett and Mor members Pogost - Oldschool black metal, inspired by Hellhammer, Bathory, early Mayhem & Darkthrone, Celtic Frost and others. Total misanthropy! Blackdeath - I don't know much about them. They have cult status, splits with Mortifera and Leviathan, but I don't love their music at all. Pseudogod - Very drive and cruel black metal with death metal influences. Unfortunately, it's very monotonous Inferius Torment - It's the best Satanic Black Metal that Russians ever have!!!!!! Squal of hate and intolerance to christianity!!! Members of this band have burnt 2 churches, hehehe... Full lenght is coming soon @ Cold Breath of Silence Beyond Ye Grave - another cool and maniacal band from Moscow. Very scandal, hehe)) Full lenght is coming soon @ Cold Breath of Silence Varhorn (Варххорн) - It's cult Ural Black metal. Several years after split CD with Kali Yuga they recorded full-lenght album. Coming soon @ belarussian Possession Prod.
Feel free to visit our site and forum and to ask me anything here. By the way, my Apocalyps'Zine #1 in english is coming soon in february:)

| OK, if you're willing to answer questions.
1. Fluent English, just like any journalist should have! Do you take special English classes? The english version of the pdf "zine" should be very interesting to read. 2. Since when has Murmansk become a part of Carelia? Meti Bhuvah are from Petrozavodsk. 3. Black Metal, you say? You have probably the most Black Metal look I've seen so far.

And "bm musicians in real life" make me worship BM scene of Chelyabinsk.

| Well she's wearing a Mayhem ordo ab Chao shirt, I guess that says it all. However, do you really have to look grim to be considered a "true" black metaller? But of course, you don't need to push to the limit by looking like a emo or some fashion kid, that's true too. | |

No I don't think that at all, but looking like a fashion poser victim is an other case, black metal is not glam metal (even if the new Mayhem sucks).

The case is worse there : Black-Metal isn't about looking like a disco pussy.

But for some people, either you look like the typical bm fan as should be or you're not true at alln which does not concern me a lot I must say, I really don't care about dressing habits. But yeah I definitely agree, emo-styled people listening or making (pretending to) black metal should not exist. And yeah, it seems this thing has a penis.

I think, first of all, that first of all to steal photos from private photoalbums is a meanness, isn't it? And the second: don't you make your own attitude to people looking at their DEALS, not clothes? o_O

Hahaha, Pogost? Inferious Torment? Since when these weak-minded (song titles like "The Dark", "Infernal Hail, Sathanas", "The sense of truth" etc are assuring enough, not to mention wonderful lyrics and interviews) became "the best Satanic BM from Russia" or wtf you say? Btw, a couple of Pogost photos: http://img145.imageshack.us/my.php?image=x81038c82dn1.jpg http://img145.imageshack.us/my.php?image=x3b1bc67cxx3.jpg And Inferius Torment: http://img149.imageshack.us/my.php?image=inf1vh1.jpg
Who fuckin' (or should I write "fu#kin'?) cares if the photoalbums are private or not, it doesn't have anything to with you being an emo-like faggot anyway. Don't think that any worthy person would permit himself look like that. Ok, tell about your glorious deals which should be respected. Utterly lame *.pdf "zine" with generic interviews with shitty bands? Or what?
Dunno if this is a new BM generation, but the thing is sure that such faggotry forms probably the bigger part of those who "listens" to Black Metal in Russia.
