It is obvious you didn't know him at all. He had strong suicidal thoughts. But most of times he didn't act because he was too drunk...
And what would be the point to make everyone believe he is dead?! Noone even cared about him when he was alive... So it would be pretty silly.

Although I will always remember him as a shame for Russian BM. He was a perfect match for this disgusting scene. If anyone of you shall remember him as a BM warrior... tant pis pour vous.

I think the tombstone is false, this just a link posted by a member without proofs, while Shaxul informations should be rights.

The tombstone is authentic. It is his real name. My friend Hater from BEYOND YE GRAVE (one of his bands) confirmed everything to me. He also told me he will release some of his projects with his own label (which also shows that the aim wasn't to find deals).
I listened to some songs he recorded at the age of 10. Impressive. Nothing that can be released seriously of course but he was a genius.
If it was a lie, I think some people would kill him immediately for spreading such stupid rumours hehe! But ask the guys from BEYOND YE GRAVE if you want to make sure of the truth by yourself.

@L'Autrichien : I don't think suicide is an opportunity for the labels, if anyone plays shitty music and kill himself, his music will die with him.

it is almost impossible for me to believe that or even take that serious. I do not know, why you feel insulted, but if someone shows me some black metal songs and claims he recorded that at the age of ten, i would simply not believe that.

In my eyes it is just more logical that this is a fake. That would not be the first case in the black metal scene. Just look at Nargaroth or namely Kanwulf who faked the dates of stuff he released, just to claim that he was a part of the "scene" from the beginning.

For faked suicides, i just remember Kvarforth from Shining or the drummer of Bestial Mockery. As far as i remember some polish band also tried to drag attention to their records by saying one of the members killed himself.


But maybe i am just too narrow minded and doubtful.

It's not that people start to record Black Metal at age 10 are common. I for one can understand when some doubt this fact about Northdark.

The use of suicide for marketing is bullshit though.

Speaking about fakes, do you believe that Skullface's "cult" demo was really recorded in 1983?

It sounds much like 2000's Z'B'T countless shitty demos.

Metalheads don't hesitate to lie in order to earn money or a cult-status.

An early release/formation date can give you a sort of pioneer / first xy-band status easily.
